The hotel rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, located on the 2nd floor which shielded us from street noise. The size of our room was good, and the central location for breakfast was convenient. However, the hotel appeared tired and in need of refurbishment.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were adequate in size but definitely in need of a refurbishment. I found it a bit unfair that I was charged the same price as my friends who had a double room with two breakfasts while I only had one. The initial mistake of my room not being made up was rectified later in the evening.

The hotel's location is ideal, closest to my function in Baldock, with beautiful views across the high street. The rooms, although a bit small, were adequate for a couple of nights stay. The service was fantastic, especially when we arrived late at 1 am. The dining experience was very good, with juicy steaks cooked to order.
